Coming from three generations of doctors, Dr. Stephen Thompson was introduced to medicine at a very early age. He completed his undergraduate work at Guilford College, then attended the prestigious Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine and Northwestern Health Sciences University, where he focused on orthopedics, pain management, and psycho-emotional disorders.
With nearly two decades in clinical medicine, Dr. Thompson brings extensive experience from multiple integrative care settings. His practice incorporates Chiropractic Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine — including chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy, bodywork, nutrition counseling, rehabilitation, and lifestyle design.
He is an assistant professor and lecturer at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN, in the College of Health and Wellness, with emphasis on integrative care and clinical massage therapy. He volunteers his time providing trauma-informed care within the community.
His work spans clinical practice, academic instruction, book authorship, app development, and civic technology. The throughline is a single conviction: survival is genius. Adaptation is brilliance. The goal is to give people the structure to protect what they've built.

The Thompson Ecosystem
Three layers. One arc.
Survival Architecture
Journey from the Edge
People do not make isolated choices in a neutral world. They adapt to conditions. Journey from the Edge names those adaptations and begins the work of reclamation.
Reclamation
Rooted Reclaimers
The community and educational layer. Trauma-informed education, movement, breathwork, nutrition, and connection — helping people recover agency and embodied awareness.
Governance & Protection
The Human Enterprise
Healing creates possibility. The Human Enterprise gives that possibility structure — mission, values, advisory support, data stewardship, and community coordination.
